On the Issues
1. To first and foremost honor God in our actions and protect South Dakota's religious freedoms.
John Adams once said, "Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people It is wholly inadequate for the government of any other. Without the recognition that our freedoms are granted solely by a sovereign and just God; all subsequent work is in vain.
2. From the moment of fertilization until natural death, every human life is sacred because every human life has been created by God, in His image and likeness.
I believe that every human life must be recognized, respected, and protected as having the rights of a person and the inviolable right to life. As your representative, I will unashamedly and adamantly defend the right to life. Life begins during conception and at no point should it be terminated.
3. The Second Amendment to the Constitution affirms our right to self-defense.
As a South Dakotan I appreciate a common-sense path to gun ownership and rights. As your representative, I will always vote to uphold our God given and constitutionally protected right to defends ourselves and our families. George Washington said, "A free people ought not only be armed and disciplined, but they should have sufficient arms and ammunition to maintain a status of independence from any who might attempt to abuse them, which would include their own government,"
4. Legislators that are accessible and accountable to the people.
I am going to Pierre with the idea of not only representing you, my neighbors, but to help bring stability, accountability and strength to the South Dakota legislature. I know who I am, Who lives in me, and where my strength comes from; and I am fully equipped to help prop up this district, and others around me. I know how frustrating it becomes year after year to elect people and send them to Pierre and Washington to only have them go and vote in direct opposition to their campaign promises. I will always stand for my beliefs, promises and my word.
These are just a few of the issues that I am passionate about safeguarding in the South Dakota House of Representatives. As a solid, uncompromising conservative you can depend on me to support sensible spending and taxation. As a veteran, I believe that our military and our veterans need our support and appreciation, not only as a government, but as a people. As a parent, I am committed to all children and families having the access to the education they deem appropriate for their children.
